Powering the unit is simple and intuitive: a tactile push-button on/off switch is built directly into the battery cap, offering audible and physical feedback without overcomplicating the controls. The system runs off a single CR123A battery with up to 20 hours of runtime, or can be externally powered via the onboard LEMO port, extending operational life to over 60 hours using an offboard pack. A low battery indicator is visible inside the eyepiece to keep users aware without removing the unit.
