A Story That Sparked a Movement
The story began in 2014, when K9 Kye of the Oklahoma City Police Department was killed in the line of duty. That tragedy ignited a personal mission for founder Staci Goveia, a longtime member of the law enforcement community.
By 2017, her grassroots efforts had evolved into Protecting K9 Heroes, now a nationally recognized organization advocating for proper K9 protection through education, fundraising, and direct support.
